Devotions for the Brokenhearted
Hope for the Grieving

“Your book is perfect. I was so blessed when I read it, I know God meant for me to get this book for my sister. I was so touched that I found myself praying for you. I cannot fully understand what my sister is feeling but I can see you do. And that is what she needs, someone to understand. I am sending it to her immediately.”

       Devotions for the Brokenhearted
is the compilation of two previously published devotionals: Loss of a Loved One, and Loss of a Dream. Eleven years after their initial publication, I was still receiving letters, phone calls and e-mails from people across the country searching for the books to give to family and friends experiencing grief. Finally they are available again.
These books were written shortly after my daughter Anna’s death while I was still in intense pain. Most of the books I read on grief are written a number of years after the loss. By then time and God's graciousness has dulled the hurt. I think the reason these devotions touch so many hearts is because people identify with that raw grief and at the same time sense the hope.

Released July 11, 2006, Devotions for the Brokenhearted is available at your local bookstore, Wal-Mart.com, Amazon.com, Bookfinder4U and at
Tate Publishing

From Reader’s letters:

“I have one copy of this book which I use in ministry to inmates who have lost loved ones during their time of incarceration. Your devotional has been a blessing to more people than you will ever know.”
---Chaplain Mike Hjalmarson, Flagstaff, AZ

“I couldn’t put the book down. Your candor and transparency were so refreshing---just what I needed. Your choices of Scripture were such a comfort.”
